Akha Coffee Plants
Akha coffee plants grow on the mountains of Mae Suai, Chiang Rai District at the North of Thailand, which are shrouded in the mist all year long at an elevation between 600-1800m above sea level. Chiang Rai district is recognized as one of the origins of Southeast Asia’s finest coffee. We grow our coffee plants according to ecological farming systems and sustainable biodynamic techniques without the use of harmful artificial pesticides or fertilizers. Over the century, the Akha Hill tribe’s people do not use commercial farming technologies and methods is because our people place a high value on preserving nature. Akha Coffee is 100% Arabica and processed manually, from picking the coffee berries to remove the beans from the fruits, and sun-dried before roasting. We guarantee the premium quality and freshness of our coffee products.
